Hilton Head Foreclosures Are Moving Once Again

I have some great news about Hilton Head foreclosures. Well, foreclosures everywhere probably. There’s been a giant logjam of foreclosures tied up with the banks and courts for some time now. Filings are now spiking in areas where foreclosures had been held up in court because of the robo-signing allegations. Judges weren’t involved nationwide with lenders using suspect legal documents signed via robo-signing but in states where they were, sales of foreclosures was dramatically slowed down.

For a surprising number of cities and states the turnaround on home sales including Hilton Head foreclosures has already begun. While recovery doesn’t mean a return to the double-digit price increases it does mean we’re climbing out of the slump we’ve been in. No matter where you live — or where you want to move to — the strategies you employ to sell your home and buy another must change to reflect the realities of what’s now a slowly healing market.

Many economists predict that 2012 will be the last year overall housing prices decline, as the final wave of foreclosures from the slump hits the market. After that, prices should inch up: 2% in 2013, 3% in 2014, according to a consensus of analysts tallied by Moody’s Economy.com. This applies to Hilton Head foreclosures as well.

For years buyers were scared of overpaying for a home. They’re less so now, but they’ve grown accustomed to thinking that they’ll get good deals, so they tend to act slowly, and it appears typically they start bidding around 10% to 15% below list price.

My Too-Good-To-Pass-Up Golf Package

Recently I was away enjoying a last minute North Myrtle Beach golf vacation in coastal South Carolina. Waxing philosophical, Altgelt continues: “In my experience, the most beautiful landscapes come out of our developing an engaged and heartfelt relationship with nature. To me, designing ‘green’ landscapes is only the beginning. Most people I’ve met who have property feel a certain bond with their land and are in some way deeply connected with it. While spring is a time that is bursting with new energy, the fall and winter is a more contemplative time, a time to listen to the land and let it speak to you.”

We are considering going on a vacation to Lake Marion

We are looking for a nice, relaxing getaway for not a pile of cash.  Checking out Santee Lakes in Santee South Carolina.  Looks like Clark’s Inn and Restaurant has some pretty good fishing and golf packages there.  They even have suites and a day spa. My friend has been to Santee South Carolina  and say it is a true paradise.

Here’s a photo they sent from their last trip. Looks amazing there. They stayed at Clarks Inn too.
I couldn’t find them under Clarks Inn.com but when I looked up Santee South Carolina I found them there under a longer address. Looks pretty nice.
